حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْدَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْقَارِي يَقُولُ:

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ - وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ - " وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ مَا أَنَا نَهَيْتُ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ نَهَى عَنْهَا

✧ I heard Abu Hurayrah say, while he was circumambulating the House: "By the Lord of the Kabah, I did not prohibit fasting on Friday; Muhammad ﷺ, by the Lord of the Kabah, prohibited it."
