حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُرَادِيُّ، وَبَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؛ فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يُفْطِرُ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يَصُومُ، وَكَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ أَوْ عَامَّةَ شَعْبَانَ

✧ That he asked ʿĀʾishah about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; so she said: He would fast until we would say: He will not break his fast, and he would break his fast until we would say: He will not fast, and he would fast Shaʿbān or most of Shaʿbān.
