✧ Charity to the poor is one charity, and to a relative it is two charities: charity and maintaining ties. And he ﷺ said: When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dried dates, for that is a blessing; if he does not find any, then with water, for it is purifying. And he ﷺ said: Slaughter the 'aqiqah on behalf of the boy, remove the harm from him, and shed blood for him. This is the hadith of 'Abd al-Jabbar. The other two said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dried dates; if he does not find any, then let him break it with water, for it is purifying.
