✧ Group of Chapters on Statements and Actions Forbidden During Fasting Without Necessitating Breaking the Fast

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ عَجْلَانَ، مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ [قَالَ]:

لَا تَسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ، فَإِنْ سَابَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَائِمًا فَاجْلِسْ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ Do not engage in mutual abuse while you are fasting. If someone abuses you, then say: 'I am fasting,' and if you are standing, then sit down.
