✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was preaching on Friday when he recited a verse. A man who was next to Abdullah b. Mas'ud said, 'When was this verse revealed? For I have not heard it except just now.' Abdullah said, 'Glory be to Allah.' The man fell silent. Then he recited another verse, and the man said something similar to Abdullah, and Abdullah said, 'Glory be to Allah.' When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, Ibn Mas'ud said to the man, 'You did not pray Friday with us.' He said, 'Glory be to Allah!' So he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Ibn Umm Abd spoke the truth, Ibn Umm Abd spoke the truth.'
