أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ:
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ، فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ: مَنْ زَادَ فَقَدْ أَسَاءَ وَظَلَمَ أَوِ اعْتَدَى وَظَلَمَ

✧ A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about ablution. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution three times for each limb, then said: "Whoever adds more has done wrong and acted unjustly, or transgressed and acted unjustly."
