✧ We prayed behind him, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer. Then he saw a man praying alone behind the row, so the Prophet of Allah ﷺ stood over him until he finished his prayer, then said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for there is no prayer for a lone person behind the row."

machine translationʿAbdullāh b. Badr is not well known (laysa bi-l-maʿrūf). Only Mulāzim b. ʿAmr and Muḥammad b. Jābir narrated from him. As for Mulāzim, his hadith is tolerated, even if it is not used as proof. As for Muḥammad b. Jābir, the people have remained silent about his hadith. And ʿAlī b. Shaybān: none narrated from him except his son, and his son is of that description. The anonymity of an unknown narrator is only removed when two well-known trustworthy (thiqah) narrators narrate from him. But when someone whose hadith is not used as proof narrates from him, that hadith is not proof, and his anonymity (jahālah) is not removed.
