✧ From Sahl b. Abi Hathmah regarding the prayer of fear, he said: The imam stands facing the qiblah, and one group of them stands with him while another group faces the enemy, their faces toward the enemy. He bows one rak'ah with them. Abu Musa said: "Then they stand and bow." Bundar said: "Then they bow for themselves and prostrate for themselves twice in their place, then they go to the position of those [others], and those [others] come, and he bows one rak'ah with them and prostrates twice with them. So it is two [rak'ahs] for him and one for them, then they bow." Abu Musa said: "For themselves one rak'ah and they prostrate twice."

machine translationThe hadith of Yazīd b. Rūmān from Ṣāliḥ b. Khawwāt is connected to the Prophet (musnad), and resorting to it is preferable to the hadith of al-Qāsim ḥadīthunā, because it is halted at a Companion (mawqūf).
