حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو لُبَابَةَ: سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ، تَقُولُ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَالزُّمَرَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would fast until we would say: He does not intend to break his fast, and he would break his fast until we would say: He does not intend to fast. And he would recite every night Bani Isra'il and al-Zumar.
