حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومٌ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ بَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ أَعْرَابِيٍّ لَيْلَةً، فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ ؟ فَقَالَ [ ﷺ ]: مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا خَشِيتَ الصُّبْحَ فَاسْجُدْ سَجْدَةً، وَاسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ

✧ One night I was between the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and a bedouin. The bedouin said: O Messenger of Allah, how is the night prayer? He ﷺ said: Two by two, and when you fear the Subh, then prostrate one prostration, and prostrate two prostrations before the morning prayer.
