✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking his help concerning a debt owed by my father. He said, “I will come to you.” I said to my wife, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is coming to us, so be careful not to speak to him or bother him.” He ﷺ came, and I slaughtered a domestic animal we had. He said, “O Jabir, it is as if you knew our love for meat!” When he left, my wife said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, pray for me and my husband.” He did so. Then I said to her, “Did I not tell you?” She replied, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter my house and leave without praying for us?!”
