أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ بِفَمِّ الصِّلْحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزَعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«اسْتَذْكِرُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَلَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النَّعَمِ مِنْ عُقُلِهَا وَبِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ مَا نَسِيَ وَلَكِنْ نُسِّيَ»

✧ "Review the Qur'an, for it is more prone to escape from the hearts of men than camels from their hobbles. It is bad for one of you to say, 'I forgot such-and-such verse'; he did not forget, but he was made to forget."
