✧ The description of Hellfire and its inhabitants.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا فَنَفِّسْنِي فَجَعَلَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ نَفَسَيْنِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ فَشِدَّةُ الْبَرْدِ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا وَشِدَّةُ الْحَرِّ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ حُرِّ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ “The Fire complained to its Lord, saying, ‘My Lord, parts of me are consuming one another, so give me relief.’ So He granted it two breaths every year, in winter and summer. Thus the severe cold you find is from its extreme frost, and the severe heat you find is from the heat of Hell.”
