✧ The admonition to prevent reliance on the writings of a person without preserving them

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ وَالْمِرَاءُ فِي الْقُرْآنِ كُفْرٌ ثَلَاثًا مَا عَرَفْتُمْ مِنْهُ فَاعْمَلُوا بِهِ وَمَا جَهِلْتُمْ مِنْهُ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى عَالِمِهِ»

✧ "The Qur'an was revealed in seven modes, and disputing about the Qur'an is disbelief" – three times. "Whatever of it you know, act upon it; and whatever of it you are ignorant of, refer it to its knower."
