أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَزَّرَتْنِي بِخِمَارِهَا وَرَدَّتْنِي بِبَعْضِهِ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا أَنَسٌ أَتَيْتُكَ بِهِ لَيَخْدُمَكَ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ لَهُ قَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ» قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّ مَالِي لَكَثِيرٌ وَإِنَّ وَلَدِي وَوَلَدَ وَلَدِي يَتَعَاقَبُونَ عَلَى نَحْوِ الْمِائَةِ

✧ Umm Sulaym came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, having wrapped me in part of her headcover and tied me with the rest. She said: O Messenger of Allah, this is Anas; I have brought him to serve you, so supplicate to Allah for him. He said: "O Allah, increase his wealth and children." Anas said: By Allah, my wealth is abundant, and my children and grandchildren number around a hundred.
