أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي سُوقٍ مِنْ أَسْوَاقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَانْصَرَفَ وَانْصَرَفْتُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ «ادْعُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ» فَجَاءَ الْحَسَنُ يَمْشِي وَفِي عُنُقِهِ الشِّحَابُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا» فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا فَأَخَذَهُ وَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ وَأَحِبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَمَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ بَعْدَ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا قَالَ

Translation

  5. ʿUbaydullāh b. Abū Yazīd

  7. Abū Hurayrah

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in one of the markets of Madinah. He departed and I departed with him. He said, "Call al-Hasan b. Ali." Al-Hasan came walking with a rope around his neck. The Prophet ﷺ said, "With his hand like this," and al-Hasan said, "With his hand like this." He took hold of him and said, "O Allah, I love him, so love him and love those who love him." Abu Hurayrah said, "No one was more beloved to me than al-Hasan b. Ali after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said what he said."
