أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْكَلَاعِيُّ بِحِمْصَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَنَّ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُنِي عَلَى قَلِيبٍ عَلَيْهَا دَلْوٌ فَنَزَعْتُ مِنْهَا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا مِنِّي ابْنُ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ فَنَزَعَ مِنْهَا ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ضَعْفَهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَحَالَ الدَّلْوُ غَرْبًا ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنَ النَّاسِ يَنْزِعُ نَزْعَ ابْنِ الْخَطَّابِ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ»

✧ While I was sleeping, I saw myself over a well with a bucket on it. I drew from it as much as Allah willed, then Ibn Abi Quhafah took it from me and drew a bucket or two, and in his drawing there was weakness, and Allah will forgive his weakness. Then the bucket turned into a large bucket, and 'Umar b. al-Khattab took it, and I have never seen a chief among people draw as Ibn al-Khattab drew, until the people had watered their camels.

    و قوله ذنوبا أو ذنوبين هو شك من بعض الرواة وقد جاء بغير شك ذنوبين في الرواية الأخرى وهي أحسن
