✧ ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb ؓ entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while some women of Quraysh were with him, asking him and requesting more, raising their voices. When they heard ʿUmar’s voice, they shrank back and fell silent. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed. ʿUmar said, “O enemies of your own selves, you fear me but you do not fear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “O ʿUmar, Satan does not meet you traveling on a path except that he travels on a path other than your path.”
