أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي أُعْطِيتُ عُسًّا مَمْلُوءًا لَبَنًا فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى تَمَلَّأْتُ فَرَأَيْتُهَا تَجْرِي فِي عُرُوقِي بَيْنَ الْجِلْدِ وَاللَّحْمِ فَفَضَلَتْ مِنْهَا فَضْلَةٌ فَأَعْطَيْتُهَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا عِلْمٌ أَعْطَاكَهُ اللَّهُ حَتَّى إِذَا تَمَلَّأْتَ مِنْهُ فَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ فَأَعْطَيْتَهَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ؟ فَقَالَ ﷺ «قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ»

✧ "I saw as if I was given a large wooden bowl full of milk, and I drank from it until I was full. I saw it flowing in my veins between skin and flesh, and some of it was left over, so I gave it to Abu Bakr." They said: O Messenger of God, this is knowledge that God gave you, so that when you were full of it, some was left over and you gave it to Abu Bakr? The Prophet ﷺ said: "You have spoken correctly."
