أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ
«الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلُّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ لِعَلَّاتٍ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَاعْرِفُوهُ رَجُلٌ مَرْبُوعٌ إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ بَيْنَ مُمَصَّرَيْنِ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ فَيُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَيَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا الْإِسْلَامَ وَيُهْلِكُ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ وَتَقَعُ الْأَمَنَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى تَرْتَعَ الْأُسْدُ مَعَ الْإِبِلِ وَالنِّمَارُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ وَيَلْعَبَ الصِّبْيَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ لَا تَضُرُّهُمْ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ يُتَوَفَّى فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ “The prophets are all brothers from different mothers; their mothers are diverse, but their religion is one. I am the closest of people to Jesus son of Mary, for there is no prophet between me and him. He will descend, and when you see him, recognize him: a man of medium build, inclined to reddishness and whiteness, wearing two garments dyed with wars, as if his head is dripping though no moisture touches it. He will fight the people for the sake of Islam; he will break the cross, kill the pig, abolish the jizyah, and Allah will destroy in his time all religions except Islam. Allah will destroy the false messiah, the Dajjal. Security will prevail on earth until lions graze with camels, leopards with cattle, and wolves with sheep; children will play with snakes and they will not harm them. He will remain on earth for forty years, then he will die and the Muslims will pray over him. May Allah’s blessings be upon him.”
