أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بِدِمَشْقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ نُفَيْلٍ السَّكُونِيَّ قَالَ
كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي غَيْرُ لَابِثٍ فِيكُمْ وَلَسْتُمْ لَابِثِينَ بَعْدِي إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَسَتَأْتُونِي أَفْنَادًا يُفْنِي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَبَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتَانٌ شَدِيدٌ وَبَعْدَهُ سَنَوَاتُ الزَّلَازِلِ»

✧ We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ while revelation was being sent down to him, and he said, "I will not remain among you long, and you will not remain after me except a little while. You will come to me in groups, destroying one another. Before the Hour there will be a severe death and after it years of earthquakes."
