أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمُقْرِئُ الْخَطِيبُ بِوَاسِطَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَكَلَّمَتْهُ فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جِئْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدْكَ يَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ قَالَ «إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِينِي فَأْتِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ»

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and spoke with him. He told her to return. She said, 'O Messenger of God, do you think if I come and do not find you—meaning death?' He said: 'If you do not find me, then go to Abu Bakr.'
