✧ The illness of the Prophet ﷺ

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أُغْمِيَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَرَأْسُهُ فِي حِجْرِي فَجَعَلْتُ أَمْسَحُهُ وَأَدْعُو لَهُ بِالشِّفَاءِ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ ﷺ «لَا بَلْ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الرَّفِيقَ الْأَعْلَى مَعَ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وإِسْرَافِيلَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ lost consciousness while his head was in my lap. I began to wipe him and supplicate for his healing. When he regained consciousness, he ﷺ said: "Rather, I ask Allah for the highest companion, with Jibril, Mika'il, and Israfil."
