✧ I placed before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a bowl of tharid and meat. He took the foreleg, and it was the part of the sheep he liked most, and he took a bite and said: "I am the master of mankind on the Day of Resurrection." Then he took another bite and said: "I am the master of mankind on the Day of Resurrection." Then he took another bite and said: "I am the master of mankind on the Day of Resurrection." When he saw that his companions were not asking him, he said: "Will you not say: How?" They said: How, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "People will stand before the Lord of the worlds, and the caller will make them hear, and sight will pierce them, and the sun will draw near to their heads, and its heat will intensify upon them, and its nearness to them will become hard for them. So they will set off from the distress and vexation of what they are in, and they will come to Adam and say: O Adam, you are the father of mankind. Allah created you with His own hand and commanded the angels and they prostrated to you, so intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in of evil? Adam will say: Indeed my Lord is angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after. He had commanded me with a command and I disobeyed Him, so I fear that He will cast me into the Fire. Go to someone other than me. Myself, myself."
