أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ بِمَكَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«لَقَدْ كَانَ يَأْتِي عَلَى أَهْلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ شَهْرٌ مَا يُخْبَزُ فِيهِ» قُلْتُ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا كَانَ يَأْكُلُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَتْ «كَانَ لَنَا جِيرَانٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ جَزَاهُمُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا كَانَ لَهُمْ لَبَنٌ يُهْدُونَ مِنْهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

✧ A month would pass over Muhammad’s ﷺ family without bread being baked in it. I said, “O Mother of the Believers, what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eat?” She said, “We had neighbors among the Ansar, may Allah reward them well, who had milk and would gift some of it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
