✧ The Quran was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he recited it to them over a period of time. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, if only you would narrate stories to us." So Allah revealed the verse {These are the verses of the clear Book}, until His saying, {We relate to you, O Muhammad, the best of stories}. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it to them over a period of time. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, if only you would inform us." So Allah revealed the verse {Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book}. They are being commanded with the Quran." Khallad added and further explained it: They said, "O Messenger of Allah, remind us." So Allah revealed the verse {Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah}.
