machine translationThis is an error that Maʿmar made. It is rather from al-Zuhrī from Abū Umāmah b. Sahl: that the Prophet ﷺ cauterized Asʿad. It is mursal.
in صحيح ابن حبان, p. 6086 - Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationMaʿmar narrates it from al-Zuhrī from Anas; he narrated it to them in Basra and was mistaken in it. The correct version is from al-Zuhrī from Abū Umāmah b. Sahl: that the Prophet ﷺ cauterized Asʿad b. Zurārah.
machine translationMaʿmar and Ziyād b. Saʿd narrate it from al-Zuhrī from Abū Umāmah. Maʿmar narrated in Basra from al-Zuhrī from Anas b. Mālik, and the people of Basra narrated it from him in that way, among them Yazīd b. Zuraiʿ and ʿAbd al-Aʿlā, and he was mistaken in it. The correct version is the hadith of Abū Umāmah b. Sahl.
