أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَشَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ السِّتْرَ وَرَأْسُهُ مَعْصُوبٌ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ ثَلَاثًا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ مُبَشِّرَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ إِلَّا الرُّؤْيَا يَرَاهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew aside the curtain, his head bandaged, during the illness in which he died, and said, "O Allah, have I conveyed?" three times. "Nothing remains of the glad tidings of prophethood except the dream that a righteous servant sees or is seen for him."
