أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الطَّائِيُّ بِمَنْبِجَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ بْنَ نِيَارٍ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَذْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُعِيدَ أُضْحِيَّةً أَخِّرِي قَالَ أَبُو بُرْدَةَ لَا أَجِدُ إِلَّا جَذَعًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ إِلَّا جَذَعًا فَاذْبَحْهُ»

✧ Abū Burdah b. Niyār slaughtered before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered on the day of sacrifice. He claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to repeat the sacrifice. Abū Burdah said, 'I have nothing but a jadhaʿ (one-year-old).' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Even if you have nothing but a jadhaʿ, slaughter it.'
