✧ A servant of Ka'b b. Malik used to tend his sheep at Sal'. One of the sheep was about to die, so she could not find a knife to slaughter it with, so she slaughtered it with a sharp stone. The Prophet ﷺ was asked about that and he ordered that it be eaten.

machine translationThere is disagreement about it concerning Nāfiʿ and his students. There is disagreement about it concerning ʿUbaydullāh, Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, Ayyūb, Ismāʿīl b. Umayyah, Mūsā b. ʿUqbah, and others. It was also said concerning it, "from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar," but that is not sound (ṣaḥīḥ), and the disagreement about it is great.
