أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ قَالَتْ
جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ صَبِيحَةَ عُرْسِي فَجَلَسَ عَلَى فِرَاشِي كَمَجْلِسِكَ مِنِّي فَجَعَلَتْ جُوَيْرِيَاتٌ لَنَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِدُفٍّ لَهُنَّ وَيَنْدُبْنَ مَنْ قُتِلَ مِنْ آبَائِي يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ وَفِينَا نَبِيٌّ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي غَدٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and entered upon me on the morning of my wedding, and sat on my bed as you are sitting from me. Some young slave girls of ours began beating a duff of theirs and lamenting those of my forefathers who were killed on the day of Badr, until one of them said: "And among us is a Prophet who knows what will be tomorrow."
