قَالَتْ
عَائِشَةُ وَلَمَّا قَدِمَ وَفْدُ الْحَبَشَةِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَامُوا يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا الَّذِي أَسْأَمُ فَاقْدُرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ الْحَرِيصَةِ عَلَى اللَّهْوِ
Translation
✧ Aisha said: When the delegation of Abyssinia came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they stood playing in the mosque. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shielding me with his cloak while I was looking at them playing in the mosque, until I was the one who became weary. So estimate the capacity of a young girl, eager for amusement.
