أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَجَدَ فِيهِ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَصُورَةَ مَرْيَمَ قَالَ «أَمَّا هُمْ لَقَدْ سَمِعُوا أَنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ مُصَوِّرٌ فَمَا بَالُهُ يَسْتَقْسِمُ؟ »

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the House, he found in it an image of Ibrahim and an image of Maryam. He said: “As for them, they have heard that the angels do not enter a house in which there is an image. This is Ibrahim depicted, so what is the matter with him that he is divining with arrows?”
