أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِحِمَارٍ قَدْ كُوِيَ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ أَوْ وُسِمَ فَلَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ لَا تَضْرِبُوهَا عَلَى وُجُوهِهَا»

✧ A donkey passed by him that had been cauterized on its face or branded, and the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who did that. Then he said, “Glory be to Allah! Do not strike them on their faces.”
