أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ جَمَعَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ نَفَثَ فِيهِمَا وَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ يَسْمَحُ بِهِمَا مَا اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ»

✧ “The Prophet ﷺ, when he retired to his bed, would join his palms, blow into them, and recite into them: ‘Say: He is Allah, the One,’ ‘Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak,’ and ‘Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.’ Then he would wipe with them as much of his body as he could. He would do that three times.”
