أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَصْرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ » فَقَالُوا لِفَتًى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لِي قُلْتُ «مَنْ هُوَ؟ » قِيلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ

Translation

✧ "I entered Paradise and saw a palace of gold. I said, 'Whose is this palace?' They said, 'For a young man of Quraysh.' I thought it was for me. I said, 'Who is he?' It was said, 'ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb.'"
