أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْكَتَّانِيُّ بِالْأُبُلَّةِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«حُوسِبَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ إِلَّا غُصْنُ شَوْكٍ كَانَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ كَانَ يُؤْذِي النَّاسَ فَعَزَلَهُ فَغُفِرَ لَهُ»

✧ A man from those before you was called to account and no good was found for him except a thorny branch that was on the path harming people, so he removed it, and he was forgiven.
