✧ I was serving Abu Talha, Abu Ubayda, Ka'b, and Suhayl b. Bayda' nabidh of dates and unripe dates until it began to affect them. Then a caller announced: 'Verily, wine has been forbidden.' He said: By Allah, they did not wait to ascertain whether it was true or false. They said: 'Overturn it, O Anas.' So I overturned it. By Allah, it never returned to their heads until they met Allah. Their wine was unripe and ripe dates.”
