أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
«أَنَّ خَيَّاطًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ دَعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى خُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ وَإِهَالَةٍ سَنِخَةٍ وَكَانَ فِيهَا قَرْعٌ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَكُنْتُ أَرَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُعْجِبُهُ الْقَرْعُ قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَزَلِ الْقَرْعُ يُعْجِبُنِي مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُهُ يُعْجِبُهُ ﷺ»

✧ A tailor in Madinah invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to barley bread and stale fat, and there was gourd in it. Anas said: I used to see the Prophet ﷺ liking gourd. He said: So I used to place it before him, and gourd has continued to please me since I saw him ﷺ liking it.
