✧ I entered with Khalid b. al-Walid b. al-Mughirah into the house of Maymunah bt. al-Harith with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A roasted dhabb was brought, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached for it. One of the women who were in Maymunah's house said: 'Tell the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what he is about to eat.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lifted his hand. I said: 'Is it forbidden, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'No, but it is not found in the land of my people, so I find myself averse to it.' Khalid b. al-Walid said: So I pulled it over and ate it while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was watching.
