أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

«لَا تُصَرُّوا الْإِبِلَ وَالْغَنَمَ فَمَنِ ابْتَاعَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ بِخَيْرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَحْلُبَهَا إِنْ رَضِيَهَا أَمْسَكَهَا وَإِنْ سَخِطَهَا رَدَّهَا وَصَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ»

Translation

✧ Do not tie up the udders of camels and sheep. Whoever buys them after that has the choice between two options after he milks them: if he approves of them, he keeps them, and if he dislikes them, he returns them along with a saa' of dates.
