أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَقَتَادَةَ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَلَا السِّعْرُ فَسَعِّرْ لَنَا سِعْرًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْخَالِقُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّازِقُ وَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا أَلْقَى اللَّهَ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ ظَلَمْتُهَا أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ فِي أَهْلٍ وَلَا مَالٍ»

Translation

✧ Prices became high during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so they said: "O Messenger of Allah, prices have become high, so set prices for us." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah is the Creator, the Withholder, the Expander, the Provider, and I hope to not meet Allah with an injustice by which I wronged anyone of you regarding family or wealth."
