Sahih Ibn Hibban 4601

Translation

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ veiled in iron armor and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, should I fight or submit?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: «Submit, then fight.» So he submitted, then fought, and was killed. The Prophet ﷺ said: «This one did little and was rewarded much.»
