✧ Two statements I heard, and I would not love to have the world and all it contains for either one of them. One was from the Negus and the other from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. As for the one I heard from the Negus: we were with him when a son of his came from the scribes and showed him his tablet. I understood some of their words, and he came to a verse, and I laughed. He said, “What made you laugh? For by the One in whose hand is my soul, it was sent down from the One of the Throne: that Jesus son of Mary said, ‘The curse occurs in the earth when the rule of boys occurs.’” And what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I heard him say, “Listen to Quraysh and leave their deeds.”
