أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ تَطْلِيقَةً وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَاسْتَفْتَى عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَقَالَ «مُرْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لِيُمْسِكْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ مِنْ حَيْضَتِهَا هَذِهِ فَإِذَا حَاضَتْ حَيْضَةً أُخْرَى فَطَهُرَتْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُطَلِّقْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُجَامِعَهَا وَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُمْسِكْهَا»

✧ He divorced his wife once while she was menstruating. 'Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a ruling, saying, "'Abdullah divorced his wife while she was menstruating." He said, "Command 'Abdullah to take her back, then keep her until she is pure from this menstruation. Then when she menstruates another menstrual period and becomes pure, if he wishes he may divorce her before having intercourse with her, and if he wishes he may keep her."
