أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ أَخْبَرَهُ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ بِالْجِعْرَانَةَ يَقْسِمُ لَحْمًا وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ غُلَامٌ أَحْمِلُ عُضْوَ الْبَعِيرِ قَالَ فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ بَدَوِيَّةٌ فَلَمَّا دَنَتْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَسَطَ لَهَا رِدَاءَهُ فَجَلَسَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَسَأَلْتُ مَنْ هَذِهِ؟ قَالُوا أُمُّهُ الَّتِي أَرْضَعَتْهُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was at al-Jiʿrānah distributing meat, and I was then a boy carrying the limb of a camel. He said: Then a Bedouin woman approached. When she drew near to the Prophet ﷺ, he spread his cloak for her and she sat on it. I asked: Who is this? They said: His mother who suckled him.
