✧ The brother of Abū Quʿays sought permission to enter upon me after the veil was imposed on us. I said: I will not permit you until the Prophet ﷺ comes. When the Prophet ﷺ came, I sought his permission and said: O Messenger of God, the brother of Abū Quʿays sought permission to enter upon me, but I refused to permit him until I seek your permission. It was only the wife of Abū Quʿays who suckled me; Abū Quʿays did not suckle me. He said: "Permit him, for he is your paternal uncle."
