أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ وَرَبِيعَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَهْلَةَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ أَنْ تُرْضِعَ سَالِمًا مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ غَيْرَةُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ فَأَرْضَعَتْهُ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ» قَالَ رَبِيعَةُ «فَكَانَتْ رُخْصَةً لِسَالِمٍ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ commanded Sahlah, the wife of Abu Hudhayfah, to breastfeed Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah, so that Abu Hudhayfah's jealousy would go away. She breastfed him while he was a man. Rabi'ah said: "That was a concession for Salim."
