✧ Prohibition of Approaching Women in Their Menses

أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

قَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ «إِنَّمَا يَكُونُ الْحَوَلُ إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ مِنْ خَلْفِهَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ} مِنْ قُدَّامِهَا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهَا وَلَا يَأْتِيهَا إِلَّا فِي الْمَأْتَى»

✧ The Jews said, "Squint-eyedness only occurs when a man approaches his wife from behind her." So Allah revealed, {Your wives are a tilth for you, so come to your tilth as you will} from in front of her or from behind her, but he should not come to her except in the place of cultivation.
