✧ That when she arrived in Madinah, she informed them that she was the daughter of Abu Umayya b. al-Mughira, but they disbelieved her and began to say, "How deceitful the strangers are!" Then some of them decided to go on Hajj and said, "Will you write to your family?" So I wrote with them, and they returned to Madinah and believed her, and she increased in honor for them. She said: When I gave birth to Zaynab, the Prophet ﷺ came to me to propose. I said, "A woman like me cannot be married. As for me, I have no child in me, and I am jealous, with dependents." He ﷺ said, "I am older than you. As for jealousy, Allah will remove it. As for dependents, they are to Allah and His Messenger." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her, and he said, "I will come to you tonight." She said, "So I brought out grains of barley that were in my jar and some fat, and I made 'asida for him." He spent the night, then morning came, and when he rose he said, "You have honor with your family. If you wish, I will give you seven nights; but if I give you seven, I will give seven to my wives."
